Belief

Funny, most people if you polled today, still don’t believe in God.

Some believe that its a behavior that you do on your time and you leave it at home, but don’t show it to the world.

Some believe that most Christian are fanatics and with the current world events Christians are just looking for the end of the world.

Others believe in the gift which we are given in the right of choice and free will. For when the day comes, no man or woman can say they didn’t have a choice.

The option is to believe or not that Jesus Christ came and died for our sins and for those who accept that choice; live a life that shows the choice to follow him …no matter what the world may think.

Calling All Christians To Pray!

A lot of people have posted on social media several bible verses during the COVID-19, but the one scripture that comes to mine is for the church. Where is the church? As the body of Christ we need to boldly come into the thrown room and pray morning , noon, and night for the lord to heal our land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

King James Version (KJV)

Will they know me?

The times in which we are living are like something out of a movie. Are we missing something or someone?

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Matthew‬ ‭24:3‬ -8 KJV‬‬

Happy New Year!

Here we are going in a new year and God has a plan for each of us. He wants us to prepare ourselves first, by being in his word before we give it to others. Just like farmers prepare the soil to make it good before they plants the seed.

We’re are to prepare our minds, heart, and souls and make sure we are in God’s word as we move about in this world.

I have had my struggles and as I dig deeper into God’s word I’m beginning to see ways in which the lord is guiding my steps and how I have guided my own steps in the past without God.

What I have determined is that if I had followed God’s will for my life things would be different. As I continue on this journey, I will continue to seek God’s will for my life and not the worlds.

Blessed!

I woke up this morning feeling blessed to be the daughter of the most high God! His love fills the air today as we prepare to celebrate the birth of the savior.

Later today , I will attend candlelight service with my wonderful church family and reflect upon the many blessings of the year.

May everyone be blessed during this season and celebrate the reason for the season and life.

Happy birthday , Jesus!

What DoWe Worship?

We live in a world that celebrates the Christmas season to excess! I’m guilty. This year was the first time in a long time that I have not wanted to buy out the stores for stuff.

My journey with God has changed in how I plan to celebrate the birth of our savior. Yes , the celebration of treating each other with respect, honesty, and integrity while living a life of sharing with others that exemplifies the values and morals of Christ.

Each day is a challenge living in this world, but if we place our focus on God’s word we will not be deceived.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭16:17‬ ‭KJV.

“For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭16:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But everyone knows that you are obedient to the Lord. This makes me very happy. I want you to be wise in doing right and to stay innocent of any wrong.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭16:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Happy birthday lord!

Trust God!

It has been a long day in this journey we call life. My body wants to do its own thing sometimes, but I know God’s got this!

The challenges that I deal with daily only seeks to remind me what God has in store for me so, I pray the lord does a great work in me and I’m able to continue with his plan for my life.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7‬ KJV

Where the Spirit of the lord is there is freedom!

The Holy Spirit really knows how to get your attention , if your open to listening. Yesterday I talked about being still and listening for God’s voice. Well, last night when I got home, I had the song in my head from church called ” Where the spirt of the lord is there is freedom.”

I went to the garage to find and old study bible that I used to learn about how to witness and share your faith by Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort called the Evidence Bible.

Then, I found a used study guide about the Holy Spirit and how to witness. I’ll post the author later, but the point that I wanted to make if you seek and listen you will find God!

Having the Holy Spirit gives you a freedom that is hard to describe. It allows the pressures of this world to not be more important that God. It’s almost like a release if you accept it.

17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate a the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18
